Independent Action is a Political Action Committee that funds progressive Democrats running in open seats or against Republican incumbents. Founded in 1981, Independent Action has been an influential force in Democratic politics for over a quarter of a century.
Our mission is a unique one. While most political fundraising is geared towards re-electing incumbents, Independent Action is committed to electing new progressive voices and turning Republican-held seats into Democratic ones.
